There's no Singular Formula for Designing a Great Place to Work

Shared Communications & the Importance of Setting Goals

“All who have accomplished great things have had a great aim, have fixed their gaze on a goal which was high, one which sometimes seemed impossible.” Orison Swett Marden

For a workplace to excel and be successful, it is essential to first set the company goals while taking into consideration your team members’ personal goals. Businesses should aim to have goals that are obtainable, challenging and provide the context for people to have fun while accomplishing them. In order to achieve the goals that have been set it is imperative to keep an ongoing communication amongst all stakeholders. When your business objectives are aligned with your people’s interests, it is much easier to motivate and inspire them.

At PCI we want to see everyone succeed. With that being said, we’re always giving each other tips and new ideas on what is working and how you can best help the client therefore pushing everyone to want to strive for more while having fun doing it. Self-mastery is something that defines us and something that we cultivate in a conscious way through our interactions. “I think the one thing you should remember when setting goals is that everything is possible and it can be reached. As long as you’re having fun doing it, you won’t even know that it was that much of a task,” Kourtlyn Booker, PCI associate, says.

If you want to be successful at anything, think about ways of bringing in joy and fun into what you are doing. At PCI, we believe the quality of the process is as important as the achievement of goals. What about you, what do you do to make sure your team enjoys their work?
